Sprænuflækingur — Personalised Icelandic Angler Cap

One favourite river? That would be a difficult commitment.

For the angler who has a favourite river. And another favourite river. And one you’re apparently driving to on Sunday.

Sprænuflækingur is a playful Icelandic coinage for a river-roaming fishing enthusiast—the sort of person who always has one more stretch of water to investigate. Our angler’s cap gives that spirit a home, with an Iceland-inspired river winding between mossy basalt banks and finishing in a fishing fly.

Make it yours

• Keep Sprænuflækingur as the main phrase, or replace it with your own short fishing phrase.
• Add an optional name on a smaller line above—a personal touch for the angler receiving your gift. Leave it blank for the original design.
• Up to 15 characters including spaces per line. Longer wording adjusts to fit within the design.
• Choose regular lettering or RuneScope Pointed runic lettering.
• Light caps use deep river-blue lettering; dark caps use warm cream lettering with brighter river details.

RuneScope Pointed renders your text in our custom rune lettering; it does not translate your words into Old Norse. Check your spelling and personalised preview before ordering.

The cap

• 100% bio-washed cotton chino twill.
• Relaxed, unstructured six-panel shape with a pre-curved peak.
• Adjustable strap with an antique-brass buckle; one adjustable adult size.
• Personalised front design applied with DTF printing, not embroidery.
• Made to order in your chosen colour.

Care: gently spot clean with mild diluted detergent, rinse, reshape and leave to air dry.

A gift for the person who calls it a quick fishing trip—and has packed for several possible rivers.
