RuneScope Terms of Service

1. Who we are

RuneScope is operated by Bjarndís Helena Mitchell, an individual based in Portugal. In these terms, “RuneScope”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that operator.

These terms govern purchases and services offered through RuneScope. Our store is hosted by Shopify. Production and delivery partners may fulfil orders on our behalf, but RuneScope remains your seller and contact for resolving order problems.

2. RuneScope readings and age requirements

RuneScope offers creative rune interpretations for entertainment, reflection and cultural exploration. Readings do not guarantee future events and are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

Daily RuneScope subscriptions, including free-beta editions, are for adults aged 18 or over subscribing for their own readings. Adults may purchase children’s merchandise and personalised gifts.

Provide accurate information needed for your order or subscription. Birth time is optional. Where no Fate rune is supplied, the daily reading uses the Birth rune for both its distinct Birth and Fate messages.

Daily editions are prepared for each rune and language. They are not individually generated predictions for each subscriber.

3. Orders and payment

Before paying, please review your items, personalisation, delivery address, selected languages, currency and total price. Subscription purchases also show the recurring charge and billing interval.

An order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order. If we cannot fulfil it, we will contact you and refund any payment due. We will not substitute a materially different product or charge an increased price without your agreement.

Prices may change for future purchases. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing order. Any proposed change to an ongoing subscription will be communicated before it takes effect, with the opportunity to cancel before the affected renewal and any consent required by law.

4. Personalised products

Please check names, spelling, artwork, colour and other selections before ordering. Contact us promptly if you discover an error. We will try to help, but alterations may no longer be possible once production begins.

Previews and mockups illustrate the design. Screen colours and the appearance of printing or embroidery may vary from the finished item. This does not excuse a material mismatch, faulty production or failure to supply the product ordered.

You must have permission to use any text, artwork or personal details you submit. You retain your rights in your submitted material and permit us and our fulfilment providers to use it only as needed to process, produce and support your order, subject to our Privacy Policy.

5. Delivery, returns and refunds

Physical-product delivery is governed by our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

Our Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy explains ordinary returns, personalised goods, digital purchases and statutory remedies.

Producing an item after purchase does not automatically make it legally personalised. Your rights for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods remain protected.

6. Daily RuneScope subscriptions

Your subscription covers the languages, billing interval and price shown when you subscribe. Available additional languages and their charges are displayed before purchase.

Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel through “Manage or cancel your subscription” in your customer account, or contact hello@runescope.online for help.

Cancellation stops future renewals. For ordinary cancellation, daily messages continue through the paid period. This does not limit statutory withdrawal rights or remedies where the service is faulty.

If you use an available pause option, future billing and message delivery pause according to the subscription’s displayed status. Pausing is optional; it is not a required step before cancellation.

You may subscribe again after cancelling, subject to availability and these terms.

Free-beta editions do not become paid automatically. We will explain any proposed paid offer and obtain your agreement before charging.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel a paid subscription. To stop future subscription charges, use subscription management or contact us.

Please contact us if expected messages do not arrive. We will investigate delivery problems and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

7. Digital products

Listings describe the format, language and delivery arrangements for ebooks and other downloads. Unless a listing expressly grants broader rights, digital purchases are for personal use and may not be resold or publicly redistributed.

Any limitation on statutory withdrawal rights for immediately supplied digital content depends on the legally required consent, acknowledgement and confirmation. Downloading a file alone does not establish that these requirements were met.

8. Responsible use and intellectual property

Do not use our services for fraud, unlawful activity, harassment, infringement or interference with website security.

RuneScope’s original artwork, writing, layouts and other protected materials belong to us or their respective rights holders. Purchasing a product does not transfer commercial reproduction rights. This does not restrict rights provided by law.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is processed and how to exercise your rights.

Accepting these terms does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional marketing or tracking.

10. Service problems and responsibility

We aim to provide accurate product information and reliable services. If something goes wrong, contact us so we can investigate.

We remain responsible for obligations we owe you under applicable law, including where we use hosting, production, payment or delivery providers. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer guarantees or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If we discontinue a paid service, we will notify affected customers and provide any refund due for an undelivered paid period.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unlawful activity or a serious breach of these terms. Any action will be proportionate and will not remove your statutory rights.

11. Applicable law and complaints

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply, this choice of law does not remove them or restrict your rights concerning the competent courts.

Please send complaints to hello@runescope.online. You retain your rights to use applicable consumer dispute-resolution procedures and the courts. Contacting us first is encouraged but does not restrict those rights.

12. Changes to these terms

The terms applicable when an order is placed govern that purchase. We will publish an updated date when these terms change.

For ongoing subscriptions, material changes will be communicated in advance. We will obtain consent where required and allow cancellation before an affected renewal. Posting revised terms does not retrospectively remove existing rights.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
